Con le sue due sedi a Roma e Milano, Wunderkammern è caratterizzata da tre valori principali: la ricerca artistica, la professionalità e il mercato dell'arte.

Wunderkammern adotta il principio che ha ispirato le omonime collezioni di curiosità scientifiche e di oggetti straordinari, raccolte in Europa a partire dal Rinascimento da parte disovrani e nobili, mercanti e primi praticanti della scienza. La galleria presenta un una tipologia di lavori con una forte relazione all'Arte Relazionale e all'Arte Pubblica. Wunderkammern e gli artisti rappresentati esplorano tematiche legate alla meraviglia, al paradosso, alla connessione tra l'interno e l'esterno, il convenzionale e l'anticonformista, la sfera privata e quella pubblica. 

UNA BREVE STORIA

La galleria d'arte contemporanea Wunderkammern è stata fondata da Franco Ottavianelli, Afra Zucchi e Giuseppe Ottavianelli.

Dopo aver sostenuto un programma di mecenatismo artistico di 10 anni, Wunderkammern apre nel 2008 la sua sede a Roma.

Wunderkammern promuove un programma internazionale di eccellenza della ricerca artistica contemporanea nelle sue differenti forme e linguaggi. La galleria rappresenta artisti emergenti, mid-career e affermati, e ha l'obiettivo di creare un ambiente stimolante di sperimentazione, dialogo e sviluppo del loro lavoro in forte relazione con il pubblico. Gli artisti e i loro progetti sono spesso i soggetti di molti articoli di riviste nazionali e sono recensiti da un ampio numero di riviste d'arte.

Dal 2010, Wunderkammern partecipa a importanti fiere d'arte internazionali. In collaborazione con accademie d'arte, musei e istituzioni culturali, Wunderkammern organizza anche eventi collaterali al di fuori dallo spazio della galleria in locations specifiche, con l'obiettivo di promuovere i suoi artisti e la loro ricerca.

Nel 2016 Wunderkammern apre la sua seconda sede a Milano (Via Ausonio 1A, 20123 Milano, telefono 02.84078959, wunderkammern@wunderkammern.net) e con una grande passione continueremo a presentare un ricco programma internazionale d'arte contemporanea, sempre ispirando i nostri partecipi collezionisti e promuovendo i nostri artisti nel mondo dell'arte.

With venues both in Rome and Milan, Wunderkammern is characterised by three core values: art research, professionalism, art market.

Wunderkammern adopts the inspiring principle of those homonymous collections of scientific curiosities and extraordinary objects that used to be gathered together in Renaissance Europe by rulers and aristocrats, merchants and early practitioners of science. It exhibits a genre of work with a strong influence with Relational Art and Public Art. The gallery and its represented artists explore themes related to the marvellous, the paradox, the connection between the inside and the outside, the conventional and the unaccepted, the private and the public space.

A BRIEF HISTORY

The Wunderkammern contemporary art gallery was founded by Franco Ottavianelli, AfraZucchi and Giuseppe Ottavianelli.

After supporting a 10-year art patronage programme, Wunderkammern opened in 2008 its venue in Rome.

Wunderkammern promotes an international programme of excellence of contemporary art research in its different forms and languages. The gallery represents emerging, mid-career and established artists and it has the objective of creating a stimulating environment for experimentation, discussion and development of their work in strong relation with the public. The artists and their projects are often the subject of many national newspaper articles and reviewed by a wide number of art magazines.

Since 2010, Wunderkammern participates to key international art fairs. In collaboration with art academies, museums and cultural institutions, Wunderkammern also organises parallel events outside of the gallery space in specific locations and with the aim of promoting its artists and their art research.
